At Everlasting Hug, our mission is to provide essential assistance to pets in need and their low-income families. Recently, we had the privilege of making a tangible difference in the lives of Dennis, a homeless disabled veteran, and his loyal companion, Boots.

Dennis, who resides in Connecticut, faces numerous challenges, including living in his car. Despite these difficulties, his love and dedication to Boots, his beloved tuxedo cat, remain unwavering. Recognizing their urgent needs, Everlasting Hug sprang into action, organizing two successful events to provide critical support.

Event 1: Emergency Fundraiser

Our first event, which lasted two weeks, focused on collecting funds to address Dennis’ and Boots’ most pressing needs. Through strategic social media networking, we rallied our community and collected several hundred dollars in donations. These funds were directly allocated to support Dennis and Boots, helping them navigate the harsh winter conditions. Specifically, the donations enabled us to provide gas for their car and propane for heaters, ensuring they stayed warm and safe during the cold winter weeks.

Event 2: Everlasting Hug Keepsake Vessels Fundraiser

Building on the success of our first event, we launched a second two-week fundraiser, featuring our unique Everlasting Hug keepsake vessels. Once again, our community rallied around Dennis and Boots, providing essential support through their generous donations.
